The crew oxygen masks are locatedin stowageboxes. One forthepilot, oneforthe copilotand oneforthe3rdflight crew position. The crewmaskis afullface maskand includes anoxygen regulator, apneumatically controlledinflatable harness, a flow-controlknob, amixture-controlleverandamicrophone. To release the maskfrom thestowagebox, theoperator squeezes thered release levers andholdsthem. This action opensthequick-release doors, frees themaskandinflatestheharness. The operatorthendonsthe mask. The redlevers are then released, whichdeflatesthe harness, causingthe masktoinstall correctly ontheoperator’s head. <0033>
Oxygenis suppliedto the mask regulatorat78psig(538kPa). The regulator control (N/100%positions) allows theuser to select amixture of oxygenand ambientairor pure oxygen.
Whenthe regulator controlis setto theNposition, amixture ofambientairand pressurized oxygenis suppliedto the mask ondemand.
Withthe control settothe100%position,pure oxygenis suppliedto the mask on demand.
The flow controlknobis usedtoadjustthe oxygenflow. Iftheknobis turned clockwise totheEMERGENCYposition,the maskis supplied a constantflow of100% oxygenat apositive pressure. To testthe oxygenflow, press theflow controlknob, which momentarily supplies oxygento the mask.
When cabin altitudeis more than30,000feet(9,144 meters), themask supplies pure oxygen regardless oftheN/100% switchposition.
To remove themask, thered release levers on the mask are squeezed, whichinflates theharness to allow the masktobe removedfromtheoperators head.

Shows yellow cross whenoxygenis flowing or when harness is inflated. Black, indicates no oxygenflow.
Test/Reset Lever (spring-
loaded to RESET)
Press to test oxygen flow (momentarily) throughthe regulator (microphonetest without pullingthe mask out).
N -
Provides a ambient air with oxygen ondemand.
100% -
Provides 100% oxygen ondemand.
Oxygen On Flag (white)
In view whenmask is out, indicates that oxygen shut-
off valve is open. Flag willdisappear when shut-
off valve is closed. Reset position
Release Levers (red)
Squeeze to unlock container doors, grasp levers andhose and pullto withdraw mask.
Emergency Flow Control
Rotate indirection of arrow to supply a continuous 100% oxygenflow.
Rotate to adjust the supply pressure.
Press to check whether acontinuous flow willbe available.
to RESETwillstopthe flow of oxygento the masks. Closingthe doorson themask storage compartments willalso stopthe flow of oxygen to the masks.
