The Main batterydirectbus, APUbatterydirectbus, and the emergencybus are allhot buses (they are continuouslypoweredatalltimes fromthebatteries). Whenthe BATTERYMASTERswitchis selectedON, an input signalis suppliedto thetwo power controllers (PC). Thepower controllers monitorforACpower, andifACpoweris not available then the controllers willconnecttheirrespective batteries tothebatterybus. When ACpower isavailable, forthe TRU’s to powerthe DCsystem, the power controllers willdisconnectthebatteries from thebatterybus. Eachbatterydirectbus can power theDCbatterybus. BoththebatterybusandtheAPUbatterydirectbus power theDC emergencybus. TheDC service busis normallypoweredfromthe service TRU. IftheDCSERVICE switch ontheelectricalpanelis selectedON, theDC servicebus willbe poweredfromthe APUbatterydirectbus. NOTE Although there is only one battery bus, it is split betweencircuitbreakerpanel1and2andisreferred toastheleftand rightbatterybus. In flight, ifthe power controllers sense acomplete loss ofACpower, theywill reconnect thebatteries tothebatterybusandatthe same time theDC emergencyties willclose toconnectthebatterybustotheDCessentialbus.
