1. INTRODUCTION
The indicatingand recordingsystems consist of componentsthatprovide visualand aural indications ofsystemoperation,aircraftconfigurations andto recordaircraftinformation.
Datafromtheaircraftsystems andfrom eachengine is received andprocessedbytwo data concentrator units (DCU’s)locatedin the avionics compartment. The DCU’s provide information totheengine indication andcrew alertingsystem(EICAS). Master warningand caution lights on theglareshieldenhancetheindication system. Audio signals are generated within theDCUs and are heardthroughtheflightdeck speakers.
