1. FLAPS
The flapsystemprovidesliftaugmentation duringtake-offandlanding. The flapsystem consistsof externallyhingedinboardandoutboardflappanels mounted onthetrailingedge ofeach wing. Flap settings(to amaximumof45degrees) are selectedfrom asingle flap controllever, located onthecenterpedestal. The flapsystemis controlledand monitoredby a flap electronic controlunit(FECU). During extension,theflaps move slightlyaftanddown aroundhingepivots.
