The gatepreventsinadvertent flap selection to 0degrees during amissedapproachandprecludes VFE(flaps30)from being exceeded.To move thelever throughthegate,it mustbepusheddown (against a spring) anthenmovedforward oraft. The lever quadrantfeatures two gates, oneatthe8degree settingand oneatthe20degree setting.
