Jointly presented in Geneva, Switzerland, by NBAA and the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), this flag-ship event for the business aviation community in Europe attracted participants not only from the region, but also from Africa, Asia, the Middle East and North America. A total of 411 Exhibitors, occupying approximately 1,900 booth spac-es, came to Geneva in 2009. In addition, the Static Display of Aircraft at nearby Geneva International Airport featured 65 business aircraft, up from 60 the previous year.
Recognizing the importance that Asia will play in the future of business aviation, NBAA plans to reconvene its Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) on January 18 and 19, 2011, at the Hong Kong Business Avia-tion Centre on Hong Kong International Airport.

Particularly in tough times, when career development can be the key to future professional success, NBAA Members appreciate the high-quality education, training opportunities and resources that the Association provides.
NBAA’s scholarship program, generously supported through sponsorships by industry organizations, offers nearly $100,000 annually in cash awards as tuition reimbursement for students enrolled in business aviation courses. NBAA and industry sponsors also provide a comparable level of monetary and training awards to working business aviation professionals interested in enhancing their skills and further-ing their careers.
cAm AND pDp highlights
A primary way NBAA fosters the careers of business avia-tion professionals is through its Professional Development Program (PDP), which is designed to prepare individuals for management roles within their respective companies. PDP courses – which cover business management, leadership, operations, personnel management, and technical and facili-ties services issues – are made available through a variety of venues. Courses also are offered through accredited edu-cational institutions and at presentations given at NBAA’s Annual Meeting & Convention, Regional Forums and stand-alone events.
