At the local level, NBAA’s regional representatives worked tirelessly to assist local and state groups in their efforts to preserve access at general aviation airports in Connecticut, California, Arizona and elsewhere. worlD-clAss eveNts NBAA redoubled its work to underscore the value of business aviation at the Association’s 62nd An-nual Meeting & Convention, held from October 20 to 22, 2009, in Orlando, FL. While the Convention’s Media Kickoff Breakfast, Opening General Session and other events highlighted the industry’s con-tributions to citizens, companies and communities across the U.S., Attendees from all 50 states also showcased the diversity, breadth and depth of the industry. eNhANciNg the vAlue of memBership NBAA actively reduced expenses during the fiscal year while still enhancing valuable advocacy and Member programs. In a tough economy, NBAA focused on adding new products and services de-signed to help Members succeed in their businesses and careers. Some of these resources are detailed in the accompanying sidebar below. As this Annual Report shows, NBAA took extraordinary steps to meet the challenges of 2009 and enable business aviation to ascend to new heights. We have much to accomplish in the coming year; while the outlook for 2010 re-mains challenging, your Association is well positioned for success in the year ahead.
