NBAA provides a variety of business management resources to help flight department personnel do their jobs better.
Such vital and valuable business information is imparted year-round through all of the Association’s meetings, from focused seminars at NBAA’s Annual Meeting & Conven-tion and Regional Forums, to the Association’s conference series, which covers leadership, international operations, and tax, regulatory and risk management. The Association also provides information geared toward specific types of aviation professionals – including maintenance managers, flight attendants, and schedulers and dispatchers – at other conferences.

Perhaps the most comprehensive of NBAA’s business management resource documents is the NBAA Management Guide, which provides basic guidance and background infor-mation on how to operate a business aviation department. The publication includes sections on administration, flight operations, international operations and maintenance, as well as appendices on other important topics. The latest revision to this living document was released online in spring 2009.

surveys annu-
ally to establish industry bench-marks. NBAA’s Compensation
& Benchmark
operational data to help Member Companies better evaluate their flight departments. The survey is based on information provided by NBAA Members and presents data in a way that ensures confidentiality. The salaries are broken down by type of certificate, seniority with the company, years in cur-rent position, age, industry group and other factors.
Free to participating Members or available to non-partici-pating Members for a fee, the Compensation & Benchmark Survey is an indispensible business tool.
