First launched in 1995, www.nbaa.org is the comprehen-sive online source for business aviation information. In late 2008, the web site was completely redesigned to improve usability, look and feel, and to enhance NBAA’s industry advocacy efforts, and site improvements continued during 2009. Business Aviation Insider supplies news relevant to all types of NBAA Members, from single-pilot airplane operators to those with large flight departments that fly internation-ally. The publication highlights the benefits of Association membership and provides operational tips and tools, safety information and best practices. During 2009, NBAA’s web site and Insider each won a Golden Circle Award – a top honor bestowed by the Ameri-can Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Cen-ter for Association Leadership. ASAE officials reported that it was the first time in recent memory that an Association’s web site and Member publication each won the award in the same year. Business Aviation Insider won several additional 2009 awards for publication and design excellence.
The Association also reached new audiences in 2009 via NBAA Flight Plan, a series of podcasts with news and infor-mation about the business aviation community for people on the go. To help Members operate more efficiently, NBAA intro-duced in 2009 two new publications and updated another key reference. |
