1. ANNOUNCEMENT AND BOARDING MUSIC SYSTEM <0009>
The announcementandboarding music systemincludes atape playerunitto provide voice messagesand music for thepassengeraddress system. Theunitis locatedin thetopofthe forward wardrobeandis activatedbypressingtheONbutton.
The numeric keypad is usedtoenter message codesintothe memory(up to16 messages).

If the cabin depressurizes, a digital signal from the cabin pressure control module(CPAM), activatesthe automatic announcement of CABIN DEPRESSURIZATION.<0036>
2. PASSENGER ADDRESS AND MUSIC SYSTEM <0085>
The passengeraddress andmusic systemis asource ofvoice messagesand music. The unitis locatedin the topoftheforward wardrobe.The systemis activatedbypressingthe POWERbutton. System messagesand music are containedin amemory card whichis installedin theunit. The flight crew can notaccess thecard.
To display alist of available languages ontheliquid crystaldisplay(LCD), theLANGUAGE buttonis pushedand released. The (~ and .)buttons are usedto scrollthroughthelist andtheSELECTkeyis usedtoadd alanguagetothe active list. The orderin whichthe languages are selectedis the orderin whichthey are playedfor anyparticular briefing. In PLAY mode,thelanguage selection is highlighted on theLCD.
Afterselecting thelanguages, theMESSAGEbuttonis pushedthenthe scrollarrows and theSELECTbutton are usedto select agroupof messagesand music. The name ofthe message/music groupandthe name ofthefirst message(whichis cued readytoplay) are displayed on the LCD. The WAITindicator willbe displayed.
