1. AFT EQUIPMENT COMPARTMENT DOOR
The aftequipment compartmentdooris located on theloweraftfuselage. Itprovides access totheequipmentlocatedin theunpressurized aftequipment compartment. The door is hingedatthefrontand opens downwards. The door is also removeable throughquick release hingepins.
NOTE
Theaftequipmentcompartmentdoorisnotmonitored by the PSEU, therefore there is no cockpitindication ofdoorposition.
A. Opening the Aft Equipment Compartment Door
To openthe aftequipment compartmentdoor:
(1)
Press thetriggerplate on thehandle.
W The doorhandle ejects.
(2)
Rotatethehandle clockwise.
W The doormechanism unlatches.
(3)
Manuallylower thedoortothefulldown position.
B. Closing and Latching the Aft Equipment Compartment Door
To close theaftequipment compartmentdoor:
(1)
Manually move thedoorupintoits opening.
(2) Rotatethehandle counter-
clockwise untilthehandle reachestheendofits travel.
W The doormechanism latches.
(3)
Pushthehandle in to latchitin thedoor recess.

1. EMERGENCY EXITS
Emergency evacuation ofthe cabin area is accomplishedthroughthepassengerdoor, the galley service door, thetwo overwing emergency exits, andthe cockpit overhead escape hatch. All emergency exits can be openedfromtheinside oroutsideofthe aircraft.

2. Cockpit Escape Hatch
The cockpit overhead escape hatchprovides an emergency exitforthepilotsin case of emergency evacuation. The hatchopensinwards andis removeable atthehinge support hooks.
The hatchinner and outerhandles are rotatedto theOPENposition to unlatchand rotated totheCLOSEDposition to latch.
NOTE
The cockpit overhead escape hatch is note monitored by the PSEU, therefore there is no cockpit indication for the escape hatchposition.
