1. INTRODUCTION
The aircrafthasthefollowingfuselagedoors:
W Passengerdoor(type Iexit)
W Galley service door(type Iexit)
W Two overwing emergency exits(type IIIexit)
W Flight compartment overhead escapehatch
W Cargo door
W Avionics compartmentdoor
W Aftequipment compartmentdoor.
The passengerdoorandthegalley service doorcan be operatedfrom inside oroutsideof theaircraftand can also be usedfor emergency evacuation. The flight compartment escape hatchandthe overwing emergency exits can also be operatedfrom inside oroutsideofthe aircraft. The cargodoor, aftequipment compartmentdoorandthe avionics compartment doorcan onlybe operatedfromoutsidethe aircraft. Alldoors, exceptthe aftequipment compartmentdoorandthe cockpit overhead escapehatch are monitoredbytheproximity sensing electronic unit(PSEU).
The PSEUprovidesdoorstatusinformation fordisplay on theEICAS.
The doors auralandvisualindication systemis triggeredbysignals receivedfrom position sensors andswitches. Inputsfromtheposition sensors andswitches are processedbythe proximity sensing electronic unit(PSEU)andtransmittedto theEICAS. Doorwarningand caution messages are displayed on theEICASprimarypageanddoor statusis displayed on theDOORS synoptic page.
