D. Closing and Latching the Door from Outside
Effectivity:
W Aircraft 7001---7067, 7069---7389, 7391---7395, 7397---7411, 7413---7415, 7417---7422, 7424---7431, 7433---7443, 7445---7451, 7453, 7454, 7456.
To close andlatchthedoorfrom outside:
(1) Manually raise thedoorupandpushitfully closed.
NOTE
The gas springs will assist in retracting the door up to nearverticalposition.
W The fwdandaftpull-in levers engagein respective cams toholddoorin this position.
(2)
Rotatetheouterhandle clockwise to theCLOSEDposition.
W The latch cams andlatchpins engagein the doorframe fittings.
(3)
Pushtheouterhandle to stowitin thedoor recess.
W The doorventflap closes simultaneously.

(1) Manually raise thedoorupandpushitfully closed.

(2) Pushouterhandle down fullyin its recess. W The latch cams andlatchpins engagein the doorframe fittings W The inner handle,theouterhandle andthedoor ventflap close simultaneously.
E. Lowering the Stair Handrails
Whenthedooris closed,
(1) Remove thetwo quick-
release pins from theholes ofthe stairhandrails.
(2) Stowthequick-
release pins in the storageholes ofthebrackets.
(3)
Openthepassengerdoor.
Whenthedooris open,
(4)
Holdthe stair handrails andremove thetwo quick release pins from theholes of thestairhandrails.
(5) Stowthequick-
release pins in the storageholes ofthebrackets.
Do not use force to lift/lower the stair handrails. Ensurethatthebottomstepisfreetounfold/foldasthe stair handrails are graduallylifted/lowered.
