(6) Lower thestairhandrails andensure thatthe clips on the stairhandrails attachto thequick release pins.
F. Lifting the Stair Handrails
Whenthedooris open,
Donotclosethedoorwithoutthequickreleasepinsin thestorageholesofthebracketsorintheholesofthe stair handrails.
(1)
Remove thequick release pins from the storageholes ofthebrackets.
(2)
Liftthehandrails intoposition.
Thequick-
releasepinsmustbeinstalledintheholes ofthestairhandrailsbeforetheaircraftismoved.This ensuresthatthestairhandrailareintheupperposition in case ofanemergency evacuation.
(3) Installthetwo quick-
release pins in theholes ofthe stairhandrails. Whenthedooris closed,
(4) Remove thetwo thequick-
release pins from the storageholes ofthebrackets.
(5) Insertthequick-
release pins intotheholes ofthe stairhandrails.
