A. Opening the Crew Escape Hatch from Inside
To openthe crew escapehatchfrom inside:
(1)
Press thehatchinnerhandle retention button.
W The inner handle ejects.
(2)
Rotatetheinner handle (left)totheOPENposition.
W The hatch mechanism unlatches.
(3)
Manuallylower thehatchtothefulldown position.
B. Closing and Latching the Crew Escape Hatch from Inside
To close andlatchthe crew escapehatchfrom inside:
(1)
Manuallyliftthehatchintoits opening.
(2)
Pushtheaftpart ofthehatchupto squeeze the seal.
(3)
Rotatetheinnerhandle (right)to theCLOSEDposition.
W The doormechanism latches astheinner handle reachestheendofits rotation.
(4)
Correctlyalign theinner handle withthedoor recess.
(5)
Pushthehandle in untilits latchedbythe retention button.
C. Opening the Crew Escape Hatch from Outside
To openthe crew escapehatchfrom outside:
(1)
Press theouterhandle triggerplate.
W The outerhandle ejects.
(2)
Rotatetheouterhandle (right)to theOPENposition W Carefullylower the hatch fullydown, (to avoidinjuries to the crew).
D. Closing and Latching the Crew Escape Hatch from Outside
To close andlatchthe crew escapehatchfrom outside:
(1)
Usingthedoorouterhandle, manuallyliftthehatchintoits opening.
(2)
Pull up on theouterhandle to squeeze the seal
(3)
Rotatethehandle (left)totheCLOSEDposition.

W The doormechanism latches astheouterhandle reachestheendofits rotation.
(4) Correctlyalign theouterhandle withthedoor recess andpushitfullyin.
W The outerhandle locks in thestowedposition.
3. Overwing Emergency Exits
The two overwing exits are located on either side of the passenger compartment, above the wings. The overwing emergency exits are provided for passenger evacuation ofthe cabin area. The overwing emergency exits can be openedfromthe inside oroutsidethe aircraft.
