1. GALLEY HEATING SYSTEM
The galleyis heatedwithtwo 500 wattheaters to provide supplementaryheatto thegalleyand service doorarea. Oneheater uses theair fromtheright exhaust riserductandthe second heaterwarms conditionedair from the rightgaspersupplyduct. The heaters are controlledby switchlights on theFlightAttendantspanel. There is no EICASdisplayfor thegalleyheating system.
Eachheaterincorporates aninternal overtemperature switchthat removes power totheheater whentheheateroutlettemperature becomes excessive. Theheateralso incorporates an internal, overheatprotection switch whichdisables theheater whentheinternaltemperature exceeds apresetlimit. Heater#1has afan which can beusedin conjunction with orseparate from theheaters.
System testis accomplished usingtheSYSTEM1&2TEST switchlight ontheFlight
Attendantspanel asfollows:
LatchtheFANandHTR1and2 switchlightsand checkthat:
W The FAN and HRT1 and 2 lights illuminate green.
Press theTEST switchlightandhold; checkthat:
W The FANFAIL and HTR1 and2INOPlights illuminate (amber), and
W The FANandHRT1and2green lightsgo out.
Release theTEST switchlightand checkthat:
W The HTR2INOPlightgoesout,and
W The FANFAILandHTR1INOPlights remain ON.
