C. Differential Pressure Control
Eachoutflow valve haspositive andnegative pressure relief. The pressure controllers normally controlthe cabin-
to-
outsidepressure to8.33psid. The valves are presetto openat amaximum positive differentialpressure of8.6 ±0.1psidandat anegative differentialpressure of .0.5psid.
D. Cabin Altitude Limitation
Altitudelimit controllers within eachoutflowvalve,operateto preventthe cabin altitude fromincreasingabove 14,250 ±750feet.
E. Emergency Depressurization
Electrical signals from theEMERDEPRESS switch commandsbothoutflow valves to open. Ifthe aircraftis at acruise altitude(above 15,000feet), thealtitudelimiters operateto prevent cabin altitudefrom exceeding14,250 ±750feet.
F. Cabin Pressure Monitoring
The system uses measurements from the twocabin pressure controllers andthe cabin pressure acquisition module (CPAM)to controland monitorthesystem. TheCPAM supplies signals to theEICASto displaythefollowing information:
W Cabin altitude(z)
W Cabin altitude rateof change(dz/dt)
W Cabin to ambientdifferentialpressure (delta P)
W CPAMfailure -
IfaCPAMfails, the redundant controller willassume the function of thefailedCPAM(indications only)
W Ifthe PASSSIGNS switches are selected to AUTO, the CPAMwill cause the NO SMKGandSEATBLTS signsto come onwhenthe cabin altitude reaches10,000 feet
W The CPAMwill automaticallytriggerthepassengeroxygenautodeploysystem whenthe cabin altitude reaches14,000feet.
