On the local "C:" drive, under Program Files, then WSI/PWA Client folders, select PWA Client Configuration file...
Each Class II FG-Series EFB comes preloaded with a WSI application in Demo or Sample mode. This allows the user to preview the WSI weather application. Before you can use it with your subscription, you must set it up appropriately by getting out of Demo mode and into live mode!
You should see the following screens (on the next pages) appear with tabs at the top. Each tab below is configured correctly for real time weather (not in demo or sample mode). Set each configuration screen on your EFB to match the settings in these. You will have to know what COM ports were assigned to your GPS and your SERIAL communication.
XM Weather
XM WxWorx and Heads-Up Technology, have 2 levels of product; portable and installed.
XM Portable Wired/XM Portable Bluetooth
The portable solution incorporates a receiver, antenna and cigarette lighter power adapter. The Bluetooth receiver runs on 9VDC so conversion is required. The Bluetooth version eliminates the wire running from the receiver to the EFB. There will be a small antenna in the glare-shield connected to the receiver. The receiver is connected to the EFB via a USB connection. The USB version gets power from the USB connection so no further power converter is needed.
ADR sells both versions and can test and integrate the system prior to delivery.
