Bluetooth GPS This unit is a small unit that is charged by an AC adapter and provides 12 hours of wireless use. The device makes an association with the EFB much like a Bluetooth headset does with a cell phone. Part Number FG-7030 ADR Bluetooth Antenna NOTE: Some heated glass cockpits will block the GPS satellite signal making the system unusable. This applies to any glare shield mounted GPS. Panel Mount GPS The panel mount GPS feed will need some modification from your avionics shop. This modification will involve a wiring harness to carry the GPS signal from the back of the unit to a 9 pin connector close to your desired EFB operating area. The 9 pin connection will then interface to the EFB via a PCMCIA to 9 pin converter. The panel mount GPS interface is via the PCMCIA card to DB9 connector. You must have an RS- 232C output.
