As the year drew to a close, it was clear that NBAA and its Members were prepared to confront and prevail over the challenges facing the industry. It’s a record of accomplishment we look forward to building upon.

a final thought

On a final note, none of these accomplishments would have been possible without the commitment of the dedicated professionals that make up NBAA’s staff. The Board provides direction and governance to the Association on your behalf. However, it’s your NBAA staff that has to move the ball down the field every day. Under Ed Bolen’s leadership, the NBAA staff has worked tirelessly and effectively on your behalf during the past year – and I have no doubt that they will continue to do so.
Sincerely,
Patrick Cunningham Chairman, NBAA Board of Directors

Industry ContInued sendIng the Message: no Plane, no gaIn

When NBAA and the General Aviation Manu-facturers Association (GAMA) launched the No Plane No Gain (NPNG) advocacy cam-paign in 2009, its goal was to educate poli-cymakers and opinion
leaders about the importance of business aviation to citizens, companies and communities across the U.S.
In 2010, the campaign built on its strong momentum with continued advertising placements and media-relations efforts, local initiatives and new advocacy resources all designed to deliver a central message: Business aviation is essential in creating jobs, providing a transportation lifeline to communities across the country, helping businesses succeed, and support-ing people and communities in times of crisis.

Outlets including CNBC, CNN and other major broadcast and print media organizations covered the advocacy campaign’s message articulating the value of business aviation. In addition, American legend Neil Armstrong and highly regarded investor Warren Buffett joined iconic golfer and esteemed businessman Arnold Palmer in targeted advertising in print periodicals widely read by decision-makers, including The Wall Street Journal and The Economist, as well as a number of industry trade journals.
