The airdatasystem provides computed airdata(speed,altitude andtemperature)
information tothe followingsystems:
W Integrated avionics preocessorsystem(IAPS)
W Attitude andheading reference system(AHRS)
W Inertial reference system(IRS)<0025>
W Stallprotection computerandflapECU
W Airtraffic controltransponders andTCAS
W Flight control computers andflightdirector
W Electronic flightinstrumentsystem (EFIS)andengine indication andcrew alerting
system(EICAS)displays.
The airdata system provides the following airdata parameters:
W Pressure altitudeandbarometric-
corrected altitude
W Vertical speed,indicated airspeed,Mach numberandtrue airspeed(TAS)
W IASreference (automaticallythroughtheAP controlormanuallythroughthe air data
reference panel)
W Static airtemperature (SAT)
W Calibratedandindicated airspeed (CAS/IAS)
W Overspeed warning(presentairspeedandVmo)
W Total air temperature (TAT)
W Temperature variations from international standard atmosphere (ISA). Inaddition totheaboveparameters,the airdatasystemcomputesandcontrols the following reference values andparameters:
W Preselect altitude
W Airspeedtrend vector
W Maximum allowable speed(VMO)
W Maximum allowable Mach(MMO)
W Vertical speed references.

C. Air Data Reference Panels
The air datareference panels (ARP) are located on thepilot’s andcopilot’s side panels. EachARPis used to enable selection ofairspeed reference pointers andbarometric correction for altitude.
EachARPfunctions withthe same-side ADC, display controlpanel, primaryflight displayand multifunctionaldisplay. The ARPis dividedintothree sections:
