An unusualattitude or unusualAOAwould result in either the horizon lineor theflight path symbol exceedingthe limits of their display areas. Theaffected symbolwillthenbeghosted(displayedin dashedlines). In this event, the vertical components of theattitude display willbe compressedto provide aconsistent display whichis relatively correct to each other, although nolonger conformalto theoutside scene.
