There are many small airfields where most of the traffic is business avi-ation. To concentrate on the larger ones, the statistics in Figure 43 are limited to airfields with at least ten business aviation departures on one day in 2005.
For this table, the ranking may be sensitive to the definition of ‘busi-ness aviation’. Top of the list is a military airfield.
For these small airports, the busiest day is of more relevance to air traf-fic management, for example:


Samedan is used during the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos – and the busiest day is ten times the average traffic;

 

Speyer is used during the German Grand Prix, when it has more than five times the typical amount of traffic.
